Smart TV IPTV Setup — Samsung & LG IPTV Players, M3U and Xtream Codes

Find a compatible player for your Samsung or LG TV, check its login options, and connect an RBA Lab subscription without assuming every TV has the same apps.

Before you begin

Samsung and LG models with a supported player in their regional app store. Samsung Tizen and LG webOS are different systems; Android installation packages are not interchangeable with their TV apps.

Note your TV model, software version and store region. Confirm a player’s availability and supported login method before buying an app license or subscription.

Step 1 — Check the correct TV store

On Samsung, open the TV’s Apps search. On LG, open Apps or LG Content Store, depending on webOS version. Search for a player and read its current compatibility details.

Availability can differ by country and model. If no suitable app exists, ask about a supported external streaming device.

Step 2 — Inspect the player’s setup screen

Install the available player and identify whether it accepts Xtream Codes, an M3U URL, or a publisher-managed playlist upload.

A device code shown by a player is not automatically a MAG account MAC address.

Step 3 — Connect with the supported method

Enter RBA Lab’s server, username and password for Xtream Codes, or its complete M3U URL for a playlist input. If the app requires a web upload, use only that publisher’s documented setup page.

Step 4 — Reload and test playback

Save the source and reload the app’s channel list. Open an included channel and test the TV remote controls before making further changes.

Troubleshooting

An unavailable app is usually a compatibility or store availability issue, not a subscription login issue. For playlist uploads, check the device identifier displayed inside the app. If only one stream fails, note the channel name and time for support.

Frequently asked questions

Can I install the same app on Samsung and LG?

Only when the publisher provides a version for each model and region. Do not assume cross-platform availability.

Do all Smart TV players accept Xtream Codes?

No. Some accept only playlists or require the publisher’s upload process. Check before configuring your account.

What if my TV has no compatible player?

Use a supported external device or contact RBA Lab with the exact model before purchasing.

Ready for the next step?

Confirm the TV and player combination first, then select an RBA Lab plan that fits your viewing devices.
